Remington 700 SPS Tactical
The .300 AAC Blackout cartridge is designed to be subsonic and to be used with a suppressor. The Remington 700 SPS Tactical in .300 AAC Blackout is designed to meet that goal. It has a 16½" barrel, threaded for a suppressor, and a 1:7" twist to stabilize long, heavy bullets.

I still need to buy a supressor and brass.
I purchased this rifle in 2019.
Supressor
Kind of the whole point of this rifle and caliber is for it to be used with a suppressor. I need to do some research to decide what to buy.
Trigger
I assume I will hate the trigger in this rifle as much as I hate the one in my Sendero. I am planning to upgrade that one to a Geissele Super 700 Trigger, and I might as well do the same for this one.
Optics
On this rifle, I have a installed a Nikon M-300 BLK 1.5-6x42 BDC SuperSub IL (6795) scope, which has an illuminated dot BDC reticle supposedly optimized for both supersonic and subsonic variations of the cartridge. I wanted something with good light gathering for use at night, and a low magnification range. I've mounted it using Leupold 171112 Backcountry ring/mounts.
I also need to find an anti-reflective device for the scope.
Stock & Magazines
If this rifle proves to be reasonably accurate, then I think it will deserve to have a better stock. Maybe something fiberglass from H-S Precision.
It would be great to update the stock and bottom metal to support detachable magazines.
Ammunition
I will, undoubtedly, want to handload for this rifle. I guess I need to buy dies and brass. Hornady is making a subsonic cartridge with a 190 gr. FTX bullet designed to expand at subsonic velocities, but so far it does not look like they are selling the bullet as a component.
I have
Status
April 16, 2019: I have the rifle and scope, and the scope is mounted. I don't have a suppressor for it. I could break in the barrel, but beyond that, there isn't much point in shooting it until I have the suppressor.
I have dies, including a crimp die. I have no trim die. I have no components. I think I want to buy Nosler brass.
