.500 Smith & Wesson Magnum

I suppose I need a deer load and a brown bear load.

There are actually a bunch of bullets that look like they would be great on deer. The 400 gr. Woodleigh looks awesome, but the 350 gr. Hornady XTP also looks great, and the 325 gr. Swift A-Frame also looks good.

400 gr. Woodleigh

This bullet just looks awesome. The performance and reviews look very good. It actually expands quite a bit. Also, it looks bad ass. I can certainly use it on deer, but the expansion is probably too much to use on brown bear.

Brown Bear

I think the bullet to start with is the Cast Performance 500 gr. LFNGC. Then again, no one has load data for it.

I may have to settle for the 440 grain bullet by the same company because data is widely available. For use on brown bears, the difference in performance is probably negligible.
